Typical all-in cost of one chargeback, once fees and staff time are counted.
Agents buy. Mistakes ship.
A buyer tells their agent: this item, this variant, this price ceiling, this merchant. The agent assembles a cart that looks plausible and is wrong: the wrong model, the wrong configuration, one unit too many, a total over the limit. The merchant ships it, eats the return freight both ways, and takes the chargeback. Nothing in today's checkout checks the cart against what the buyer actually authorized. That is the gap ProveCart fills.
Freight on a wrong high-ticket order: out to the customer, and back to you.
One wrong order at this size erases the margin on many good ones.
Four steps, milliseconds apart
Signed mandate
The buyer's instructions are captured as a signed mandate: item, variant rules, quantity, price ceiling on a stated basis, approved merchants, and an expiry.
Cart conformity check
At checkout, the agent's actual cart is compared dimension by dimension against the mandate: merchant, item identity, brand, variant, quantity, and price.
Signed verdict
Your checkout receives a signed MATCH, REVIEW, or BLOCK verdict and gates capture on it. ProveCart never holds or touches customer funds.
Sealed evidence
Every check writes a sealed, tamper-evident record of the mandate, the cart, and the verdict, exportable as a dispute bundle if a chargeback ever lands.
Three answers, no ambiguity
The cart conforms to the mandate on every dimension. Capture proceeds, and the sealed record backs the sale.
Something is close but not exact: a soft variant difference, a near-limit total. The order pauses for a human decision instead of shipping on a guess.
A hard mismatch: wrong item, wrong merchant, over the price ceiling. Capture is refused before money moves and before anything ships.
Built for expensive mistakes
Merchants whose orders are expensive to get wrong. If a wrong configuration means freight in both directions, this check pays for itself the first time it fires.
Asked, answered
Does ProveCart hold our customers' money?
No. ProveCart is a verification layer only. It returns a signed verdict that your existing checkout acts on; funds move exactly as they do today, through your own payment processor.
What does the sealed evidence record do?
It preserves the buyer's signed mandate, the cart that was checked, and the verdict, in a tamper-evident chain. If a purchase is later disputed, that record exports as a bundle showing exactly what the buyer authorized.
How does a pilot start?
In shadow mode. ProveCart observes and reports on real agent-initiated orders without touching your live checkout, so you see your own numbers before anything is enforced.
A small number of pilot slots
We are taking a small number of merchants into a free 90-day pilot. It starts in shadow mode, and our team does the integration work with yours. In return we ask for feedback and the right to use anonymized outcome data.
